Primary Matters Releases Version 1.3 of The Primary Matters Guide™

Business Impact Analysis Expanded

Tiburon, CA –February 6, 2003—Primary Matters, Inc. announces the availability of Version 1.3 of their flagship business impact analysis software, The Primary Matters Guide™. The upgrades included in Version 1.3 are based on direct input from their customer base and add the features necessary for The Guide to become the foundation of most cost-side budgeting, analysis and planning activities required by an organization. 

The Primary Matters Guide™ is Primary Matters’ patent pending, next generation decision support and planning software product for managers in customer contact centers, operations and planning roles, as well as for marketing and sales analysts. The product’s ease of use and prepackaged content results in major business benefits in hours, or at most, several days, significantly enhancing the ability of management staff and consultants to deliver enterprise wide performance improvement. It provides 3-year budgets, activity costs, headcount and technology requirements, and supports rapid scenario analyses with ROI and Total Cost of Ownership comparisons to better enable informed business decisions. 

One of the Version 1.3 additions is the ability to ‘Roll Up’ or combine multiple modeled environments, such as departments, geographies or sites, to create a consolidated view of the organization. This is being used to take multiple departmental budgets and resource requirements and combine them into divisional or enterprise wide budgets and plans. The Guide’s powerful Scenario Management capabilities are also supported in this Roll-Up mode.

Version 1.3 reveals more detailed budget projections and offers the ability to customize the detailed budgets for an exact account-by-account match to the corporate ledger. This feature ensures that Operations and Finance are speaking the same language and eliminates any barriers to using The Guide as the primary input into the corporate budgeting and planning process. 

Version 1.3 includes many other enhancements, such as increased flexibility in defining exact systems costs, additional user-friendly report generation and viewing, consolidated viewing of data entry for review and override, and more granular definition of resources and costs. 

The Reports provided by The Guide have been increased and improved. More graphs are available for ease in presenting the results. The ability to compare the results of different analysis has been increased. The Guide now produces an ROI for multiple combined investments and offers more detail on the basis of the return.
